The Cat Cam

My fate is frequently that I have an ingenious idea popping up in my mind while siting in my office and then I have to find that somebody else is more capable to bring it to the market. Like the cat cam. A small cam attached to your beloved pet cat to spy out its daily life,  normally excluded from human’s voyeurism.

  1. Why on earth are you declaring that as humour? Even though the video is nice, the fact that somebody managed to bring your cat cam idea to the market before you could is representative for other situations and this is sad and certainly not supposed to show up in the humour section but in something like “Weltschmerz”. ;-)

  2. hahaha, later we will have a dog cam, a pig cam, a rabbit cam……
    It’s really a ingenious idea

    “Das Leben der Anderen”
Maybe the pet cat don’t want to be monitored as well as the human.

  3. Well, yeah. But who cares about that? As long as they need us to get some food on a regular basis they can shut up. ;-)

  4. Actually, I wasn’t that sad after having found that somebody else had the same idea. It is many years ago that I came up the first time with this foolish idea. It was during my freshman year in Jena. While having a coffee with my roommate and watching our other roommate’s both cat sneaking around our oven and eating the food crumbs from the pans, we decided that it would be great to have wrestling cats equipped with a cam recording how they would attack each other and how they sneak around the apartment. Our intention was to put the recordings on a web page for the amusement of net junkies and cat freaks. Unfortunately, there wasn’t anything like Youtube which may would have helped to make our flat cats popular among the net community.

  5. If you add wrestling then it does sound amusing. However, humour has a “u” in it!

  6. yeah, but only the british using the more french version of humour, however, the americans use ‘humor’. normally, i am using american english, so it could be that it does not sound very classy or looks strange
